Fall Fundraiser
Orders Due 9/25
Delivery Date Tuesday November 20th  3:30PM-8:00PM @ Memorial School

This is our most important fundraiser for the year, as it helps fund many of the cultural and enrichment activities the students enjoy! We are excited to be partnered with Genevieve's again this year and hope you will enjoy their product quality and selection! Genevieve's has worked with us to offer some exciting incentives. We hope you will participate, however, if you cannot please consider making a donation via check or by visiting our donation page. Orders for both Memorial and Center school will be delivered to Memorial School on Tuesday, November 20th.Please make arrangements to pick up your order between 3:30PM and 8:00PM, Your order may contain perishable food items which will not be replaced if they are not picked up during the times above.  Any orders that are not picked up during this time will be donated unless other arrangements have been made. The PTO is not responsible for any missing items or any spoiled food items for any orders that are not picked up.

Fall photos will be provided through Ted Morton Photography. Information and order forms will be sent home with students. Fall Pictures are the head and shoulder that gets printed in the school yearbook.  All student will get their picture taken on the scheduled day.  Purchasing pictures is optional, if you would like to order Fall Pictures, they are pre-order only. If you do not like the pictures once you receive them, you may have them retaken. Also, if your child misses school on picture day, they can have their picture taken on the re-take date.

Join us for our 2nd annual Jog-a-thon! We are so excited to be teamed up with the Get Movin' Crew to bring you this fun event! Pledge packet and event information have been sent home already. We need a few volunteers for simple tasks the day of the event! Email lucyraesmom@gmail.com to volunteer.

Holiday Pie Sale
Sale Starts October 15th

Help support your child's school by purchasing pies from Lyman Orchards! Lyman Orchards is a family owned business located right in Middlefield CT. All of their pies are handmade onsite, using their own apples, and their own whole fruit family recipe. Pies are delivered frozen with baking instructions attached. Fresh and local ingredients make these pies a Connecticut favorite! Make sure to get your orders in so you don't miss out on having a Lyman pie for your Thanksgiving or Holiday Dinner. Pick up will take place in the side hallway behind the cafeteria, you may pull vehicles up to the side door after 3:45PM.

We are excited to bring back our Holiday Shoppe this year! This is an opportunity for students to purchase and wrap gifts for friends and family members.  Here's how it works: the PTO will set up a store at Memorial School on December 5th. Around November 22nd we will send home envelopes that you and your child can use to write down who they want to buy for and how much they can spend, then you simply place the money in the envelope and bring it on the day of the shoppe. We will have "elves" ready to assist students with shopping and budgeting. The students will wrap their gifts at the shoppe so that they can be kept a secret until they are given! Gift items range from $.25 - $5.00. Based on the feedback we received from last year, we chose not to use an outside company this year, instead we selected and purchased all of the items ourselves, so we could provide better quality items for a lower price!


Holiday Bingo
Friday December 14th
 6:30PM - 8:00PM
Memorial School Cafeteria

Bingo will take place from 6:30 - 8:00.  This is such a fun event, and all of the kids go home with a prize! Admission is 1 non perishable food item per person, to be donated to the East Hampton food bank. Items most needed at this time are canned soup, canned fruit, peanut butter, rice, spaghetti sauce, toothpaste and shampoo.

I addition to "regular bingo" we also have three games of Stand up/Sit down bingo. Prizes for these games are huge bags filled with toys and other goodies! The cost is $5 per card and you will use the same card for all three games. The way this game works is everyone stands up holding their card, we call bingo numbers, if the number called appears on your card you sit down, the last person standing who has not had any numbers on their card called is the winner.

Each child is given one raffle ticket when they enter the event. Additional raffle tickets may be purchased. Throughout the evening we will draw raffle tickets for the winners to pick prizes off our raffle table.

We will also have refreshments and snacks for sale during the event!

WE NEED DONATIONS FOR THIS EVENT! We need donations of new holiday ornaments to fill our prize tree. You may send ornaments to school marked PTO Bingo. If you would like to donate a raffle prize please email Tania.





Holiday Gifts for Teachers/Faculty

Parents and students can purchase books through this program, in honor of a teacher or faculty member.  A tag recognizing the teacher/faulty member is placed in the book and the book will be added to the school library. Brain Show

This event is the Kickoff to the standardized testing and a fun way for the students to recall what they have learned. Families are invited on stage to complete against one another in this “game show” like event. This is always a fun event for all! Cost to participate is $20 per family. Spring Butter Braid/Cookie Dough Fundraiser

Our spring fundraiser for this year will be Butter Braids and Cookie Dough. Butter Braids are $13 each and Cookie Dough is $17  each. Orders must be picked up at Memorial School on Friday March 16th between 3:30PM and 6:00PM, all orders must be picked up on this date as they arrive frozen and we do not have storage. Friday afternoon club is a fun way for students in 1st - 3rd grade to learn new skills! Students stay after school on the Fridays during March to take classes taught by teachers, parents and community members. Some of our classes include baking, karate, spy school, crafts, and rocket building.  More information will be coming soon on how to register.

Yearbook Orders
Friday 3/30


Yearbooks will be offered through the PTO to both Memorial School and Center School students this year. Please take pictures at all the events you attend, then upload them to Shutterfly and share them with info@ehepto.com.  Please make sure you list the names of the students in the photo, to ensure we can publish the photos in the yearbook we need to know who the students pictures are. Entries for the yearbook cover contest, for 3rd grade and Center School students must be submitted by November 15th.  All yearbook orders are due March TBA, this is a strict deadline, as orders must be placed to ensure delivery by the end of the school year! Orders received after that date are not guaranteed and are on a first come first serve basis, we order a very limited quantity of extra yearbooks and they have sold out quickly the last few years.

Pasta Dinner, Basket Raffle & Art Show
Thursday, April 11th

Memorial School Cafeteria

This is always a fun event for students and their families.  Join us for pasta dinner served by Memorial and Center School teachers and faculty.  Cost is $5 per person and advance reservations are required. Our basket raffle and art show are also held in conjunction with this event. Spring Pictures
Monday - Memorial School

Spring photos will be provided through Ted Morton Photography. Information and order forms will be sent home with students. Spring Pictures are more casual than the fall pictures, and usually include a full body shot of a sitting pose.  Only students who have turned in a photo form will have their picture taken.  Purchasing pictures is optional, and there is no pre-order as with the fall pictures. After your child's picture is taken a proof will be sent home for you to view, if you like the proof you may place an order.  There is no retake date for the spring pictures, if your child misses school on that day they will not have their picture taken.

Mother's Day Tea

Students and their moms can join us for Mother’s Day Tea.  The students will also have the opportunity to make a craft for mom and complimentary photos will be taken.  There is no charge to attend this event but please bring a baked good to share. Third Grade Dance

Third grade students are invited to a dance in the cafeteria with their mom, dad or other special person.  Cost is $15 per couple and includes snacks and refreshments. There will be a free photo booth, and we will also have a professional photographer onsite (for an additional fee, click here to see photo prices). If it appears that a listed flyer or form is missing, the form is not available yet, and will be posted as soon as it is ready.

Our 2018-2019 meeting schedule is listed below. Please note that all meetings will be held on the fourth Monday of the month at 6pm at alternating locations. If there is not school the meetings will be moved to the 2nd Monday of the month.
